You might not be a Christian if:

A wonderful quote by Kay Warren, wife of Rick Warren

bit.ly
"If we are doing little to nothing, how dare we, how dare we claim to be followers of Jesus Christ," she said Friday. "Followers of Jesus Christ care about widows and orphans and they understand that it is a litmus test.

Urgent Prayer Needed

Please pray for Christyn Joy (AKA Chrissie) and the Patterson Family.

  • Chrissie was adopted from Serbia

  • Chrissie is a four year old little girl with a very serious heart condition.
  •  Chrissie recently had surgery to correct this heart condition and her heart has since stopped twice both times the medical team was able to revive her, however the second stoppage was  for 45 mins. She is currently breathing with the aid of a machine also the machine is  fulfilling her heart functions to let her heart muscle rest.

  •  Chrissie is a miracle in more ways then one! it was always God's plan that the Patterson family  would  one  day rescue her from the orphanage she was living in. She had never been expected to survive at that time  but God's plan was for her to be with the Patterson family. She is now receiving medical care she never would have been afforded in Serbia, What God's ultimate plan for Chrissie is we do not know, that is only  for God to know, but  lets make one thing clear; Chrissie right now  is touching and changing lives all over this country and all over the world.

With Counsel, Comfort and Relief

This mornig and later today I was reading and refelecting on James 1:27

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world"

Wesley breaks it  down as follows:

The only true religion in the sight of God, is this, to visit - With counsel, comfort, and relief. The fatherless and widows - Those who need it most. In their affliction - In their most helpless and hopeless state. And to keep himself unspotted from the world - From the maxims, tempers, and customs of it. But this cannot be done, till we have given our hearts to God, and love our neighbour as ourselves.

If this is the religion that God accepts  I want mine  to look like  it.  Please read this  verse  reflect on it  and ask yourself  who does God want  me  to help?

Adoption By the Father

The spirit of adoption begins  with the Father's unfailing love for us and by adoption  into The family of God.

All of us we believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior have  been adopted into the family of God.  What better example do we need to follow  than that of God himself,  His unconditional love towards you  has made you a permanent member of His family.

If we as Christians and by the definition of Christian  strive  to become more Christ like as we mature, then the spirit and concept of adoption can not be ignored.

Who will care for them ?

It is my belief that God has provided a family for each and every child. Who will care for them? Who will step forward and say we are ready?

Orphanages across the world are stretched to breaking points as more and more children find themselves not wanted by their families and the societies where they live, It is time for people of all faiths to begin to open their hearts, lives and homes to these most innocent of victims.
